How Grace Life Started:

Brian and Ashley Clark met in the summer of 2006 and were married in May of 2007. During their courtship, they discussed their desire to pursue God and experience His supernatural power in their lives. After marriage, they were both unsure of God’s plan for their lives, but knew it was more than just working a secular job. Brian, who began listening to Andrew Wommack in the early 2000’s felt a strong desire to attend Andrew’s bible college in Colorado Springs. Brian believed that God would reveal His plan for his life once he began Charis Bible College.

After 5 years of marriage and the birth of their two children, they moved from Kernersville, NC to Colorado Springs so Brian could attend Charis Bible College. Brian graduated from Charis with a Master’s in Biblical Studies in May 2014. He then completed the Third Year School of Ministry with an emphasis on pastoral studies/church planting. While attending Charis Bible College, Brian worked as a prayer minister in the phone center at Andrew Wommack Ministries and also served as the intern for the Dean of Students at Charis, Barry Bennett.

As Brian prayed for direction upon graduation from Charis, God reminded him of the person he was before God changed his life. God gave Brian a vision of many lost and hurting people back in his home of North Carolina that were praying for God to help them. God then asked him if he would go home and teach the truth’s God had used to change his life. Prior to moving home to North Carolina, Brian was ordained by Pastor Lawson Perdue of Charis Christian Center in Colorado Springs.

This is the church Brian and Ashley attended and served in while living in Colorado. Pastor Lawson recently founded Grace Churches International, a church planting organization focused on planting grace and faith oriented churches. Grace Life Church is one of the initial churches planted through this organization.

Grace Life Church held its first service at Southeast Middle School on January 29th, 2017 with 88 people in attendance. It is a growing church that is praised for its dynamic worship services, Pastor Brian’s ability to teach the gospel in a simple and practical way, and its loving and friendly environment.

The name, Grace Life Church, comes from the account in Genesis which talks about there being 2 trees in the garden of Eden. One, was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil which represents man trying to be like God in his strength. It speaks of self effort, frustration, and regret. The other tree, the Tree of Life represents the cross and represents grace. The grace of God gives us life. We are called to a life of grace; living in his favor and ability and not our own!

If you are looking for a church home or checking out the whole God thing we would love to have you visit.
