GOD’S WORD WILL MAKE YOU PROSPEROUS

JOSHUA 1:1-9


“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” (Josh. 1:8)

Putting God’s Word first in our attention, doing as it instructs, will produce prosperity in every area of our lives. God’s the one who made us. He knows what makes us tick and how He created this world to function. The Bible is like the owner’s manual or the manufacturer’s guide for humans. Success comes by following the instruction manual. Failure comes when we do it our own way (Jer. 10:23).

Peter put it this way, “His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him…….Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises” (2 Pet. 1:3-4). Everything we need comes through the knowledge of God. That’s what the Word is. It’s His knowledge recorded for us in black and white. Verse 4 says that God’s knowledge has given us great and precious promises. That’s Bible!

The world’s system says, “The way to abundance is to hoard.” God’s Word says, “Give, and it shall be given unto you” (Luke 6:38). The world says, “The way to happiness is to put self first.” Jesus said, “He that loseth his life for my sake shall find it” (Matt. 10:39). The world says, “Hurt me and you will die.” Jesus said turn the other cheek (Matt. 5:39).

God’s Word is awesome! Put the Word first in your heart and actions, and watch prosperity come. (AW)
